Tip of the Week: 10 Minute Meals

Finding time for a meal can be the most challenging part of my week. That sounds (reads) crazy, when you stop and see that statistics show the American meal lasts only about 10 minutes. Stopping and being intentional about   using the family table while moving between all of the things that we heap on our plate, proves for my family to be the most difficult part. To extend those valuable minutes, these 8 tips help extend those minutes into a quality exchange of ideas. Plus, we all need the re-charge attached to connecting with those closest to us.

1.  Keep it simple.

2.  Make family meals a priority.

3.  Cook together.

4.  Make it festive.

5.  At the end of the meal, plan the next time to sit down together.

6.  Clean up together.

7.  Be consistent.

8.  If you don’t have a live-in family, get friends together for regular meal nights.
